About the Developer

Ankush Choudhary Johal

Independent software engineer, open-source builder, and founder focused on creating infrastructure for a more open, sovereign, and resilient digital future.

Creator of VayuPress Lead of VayuWeb Open-source

His work spans publishing systems, distributed architecture, developer tools, and next-generation web technologies, with a consistent emphasis on performance, simplicity, and user ownership. Over the years, he has contributed to and built numerous open-source projects, believing that the most important technologies are those that empower people rather than lock them into centralized platforms.

He is the creator of VayuPress, an adaptive publishing platform built for the sovereign web. Designed from first principles, VayuPress challenges the complexity of modern publishing systems by prioritizing speed, efficiency, transparency, and long-term sustainability.

Ankush is also leading the development of VayuWeb, an ambitious open-source initiative to build a sovereign parallel internet architecture. VayuWeb explores decentralized networking, peer-to-peer communication, digital autonomy, and alternative web infrastructure designed to return control of the internet to its users.

His mission is simple: build technology that lasts, strengthen the open-source ecosystem, and help shape a future where the web remains open, independent, and owned by the people who use it.

Publishing systems

Durable, observable engines that put authors in control of every layer.

Distributed architecture

Resilient designs that stay simple under load and survive failure gracefully.

Developer tools
